What are the benefits of subscribing?
Your paid subscription to Harmony EMS will help to ensure the continued operation of your local emergency medical services provider. Harmony EMS is a private non-profit service. Harmony EMS is not tax-supported and is not associated with any fire department or municipal service.
Money raised through subscriptions is used to purchase equipment, train staff, meet operating costs, and increase service. Harmony EMS operates 24 hours every day to provide emergency care and non-emergency transport by ambulance and wheelchair van to the residents of the 10 boroughs and townships we serve.
With a subscription, any medically necessary service covered by insurance will be provided at a lower cost to you. Since most insurance providers pay only a portion of the charges for ambulance service, your subscription guarantees that you will not be responsible for all of the substantial balance. You are responsible for a copayment and any deductible you owe, and with a subscription, you will be responsible for only 50% of the out-of-pocket charges remaining. Your paid subscription assures that you will receive this 50% discount on all covered services.
You may choose the subscription plan that best suits your needs.
Family Plus ($60.00) This subscription plan covers all permanent residents of your home and any visiting relatives who require emergency care.
Family ($50.00) This subscription plan covers all permanent residents of your home.
Individual ($40.00) This subscription plan covers ONLY the individual listed on the card.
Senior Citizen Couple ($40.00) This subscription plan covers a husband and wife who are both at least 60 years of age.
Single Senior Citizen ($35.00) This subscription plan is for widowed or unmarried individuals at least 60 years of age.
Residents who take advantage of the subscription plan will have their bill submitted directly to the appropriate insurance carrier. If your insurance carrier pays only a portion of the charges, you only need to pay the co-payment and 50% of the remaining balance.
All recipients of service are required to immediately forward any reimbursement received from an insurance provider. Failure to do so will result in the termination of any subscription agreement, leaving you responsible for payment of 100% of any outstanding balance.
